Rescue Dog Tucker arrived at his new foster home in Sacramento, California in need of a bath. Since we didn’t know Tucker and how he’d react to regular dog shampoos, he got his bath with a natural product and did just fine.
Natural pet care for your Herbal Dog is an important part of keeping them healthy. When looking for a shampoo that will be easy on your pup’s skin, be sure to choose a product that is 100% paraben and sulfate free.
Parabens are used extensively as a preservative in shampoos, cosmetics, perfumes and other products for humans and pets. They are dangerous and believed to cause cancer. So while you’re looking for hair care products for your dog that don’t contain paraben, take a look at the ingredients on your shampoo bottle as well!
When bathing your dog be careful not to get any shampoo in his eyes, nose or mouth. Have a large, warm towel at the ready for drying him off. Tucker let us use a hair dryer set on low to blow dry his outrageous looking hair after his bath but he would only tolerate it for a few minutes. He was left to air dry by the heater after that with some additional rub downs with a towel.
Use a natural, clean formula shampoo for your dog that is scent and perfume free to help avoid allergic reactions such as skin rash or sneezing from the perfumes.
All tuckered out after his bath experience and arriving at his new foster home, Tucker settled down on a soft blanket in his kennel for the night. I think he needs a trip to the beauty parlor next, how about you?
My favorite natural pet care products are made by Mrs. Meyers but recently I’ve been having trouble finding the Mrs. Meyers pet care products. The shampoo we like is Only Natural Pet Herbal Defense for Pets.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.
