Rescue Remedy is one of the amazing products made by Bach Flower Remedies. Rescue Remedy for dogs is actually a natural stress relief remedy for pets that can be used safely for dogs, cats and other types of animals.

The Bach Flower Remedies are 100% safe for animals* and using Rescue Remedy for dogs can help ease behaviors and symptoms such as:

  • Jealousy
  • Depression
  • Fear
  • Anger
  • Anxiety
  • Nervousness

*Rescue Pastilles should not be used on dogs due to the sweetener Xylitol.

The most effective way to administer Rescue Remedy for dogs is to give it to them by mouth. Just a small amount is needed, 4-8 drops, and your dog does not have to swallow it. You can rub it with your finger on your dog’s gums, lips or tongue. You can also add a few drops to your dog’s water bowl (unless they catch at it!)

Another easy way to apply the remedy is to put a few drops in a little water in a spray bottle. You can then spray the Rescue Remedy for dogs in the room or in your car. Because it’s all natural, it will not harm plants.

The Remedy can also be patted on your dog’s head by putting a few drops on your hand and then patting it around the ears. Be careful not to get any of the remedy in your dog’s eyes though. Just as with humans, your dog’s head is very sensitive to different energies and this makes it a good place to administer the Rescue Remedy.

Tucker arrives at his new foster home

Rescue Dog Tucker arrived at his new foster home in Sacramento, California in need of a bath. Since we didn’t know Tucker and how he’d react to regular dog shampoos, he got his bath with a natural product and did just fine.

Natural pet care for your Herbal Dog is an important part of keeping them healthy. When looking for a shampoo that will be easy on your pup’s skin, be sure to choose a product that is 100% paraben and sulfate free.

Parabens are used extensively as a preservative in shampoos, cosmetics, perfumes and other products for humans and pets. They are dangerous and believed to cause cancer. So while you’re looking for hair care products for your dog that don’t contain paraben, take a look at the ingredients on your shampoo bottle as well!

Time for a Blow Dry and Styling Session!

When bathing your dog be careful not to get any shampoo in his eyes, nose or mouth. Have a large, warm towel at the ready for drying him off. Tucker let us use a hair dryer set on low to blow dry his outrageous looking hair after his bath but he would only tolerate it for a few minutes. He was left to air dry by the heater after that with some additional rub downs with a towel.

Use a natural, clean formula shampoo for your dog that is scent and perfume free to help avoid allergic reactions such as skin rash or sneezing from the perfumes.

A Nap is in Order after the Bath Ordeal

All tuckered out after his bath experience and arriving at his new foster home, Tucker settled down on a soft blanket in his kennel for the night. I think he needs a trip to the beauty parlor next, how about you?

My favorite natural pet care products are made by Mrs. Meyers but recently I’ve been having trouble finding the Mrs. Meyers pet care products. The shampoo we like is Only Natural Pet Herbal Defense for Pets.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.
